Use major cryptocurrency exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, Kraken to buy bitcoins quickly and without risk of losing your money. The main disadvantage is that you must pass KYC verification which involves scanning your ID and taking a selfie. It's a protection against money laundering.

When you withdraw funds from exchange, you enter destination BTC address which is just an address. The seller doesn't know who you are and the exchange doesn't know whom you are sending bitcoins. Also, we don't store your bitcoin address in our e-commerce system.

Recommended for beginners

Popular financial application for cell phones also lets you buy cryptocurrencies directly within app. This is easy and convenient way to buy bitcoins. However, you must pass KYC verification.

You may pay for your order on Buy Real Money directly from the app by sending bitcoins to unique address that we will generate for you but for higher security we recommend to withdraw purchased bitcoins to a cold wallet like Electrum or Coinomi before spending them in dark web.

Option 4. Bitcoin ATM

High anonymity

If there is Bitcoin ATM in your city, you may buy bitcoins for cash. For small amount of bitcoins, you won't have to scan your ID but it depends on legal regulations in your country. Before you use Bitcoin ATM, you will need to set up your mobile phone wallet. We recommend Electrum which is open source. Alternatively, use multi-blockchain trusted apps like Exodus or Coinomi.

The process of buying bitcoins in ATM usually looks like:

  1. Select Buy bitcoins
  2. Enter amount of bitcoins / fiat currency
  3. Go to Receive tab in your mobile app
  4. Scan QR code of your bitcoin address
  5. Insert cash into machine
  6. Take paper receipt
  7. Wait for blockchain confirmations (this may take time)

Making purchase with mobile app

To pay for your order, you will need to scan QR code on checkout page with your mobile app. Address and price should be filled automatically. Then confirm sending funds.

Option 5. Brick-and-mortar exchange

High anonymity

Search for a physical crypto exchange. Most allow anonymous transactions but some require KYC. Do your own research. For example in EU they are obliged to check your identity for amounts over €1000. For extremely large amounts they may also ask for Source of Funds and check your crypto market knowledge. Do NOT disclose that you're going to spend bitcoins in darknet!

  2. Go to the exchange (don't mask yourself)
  3. Give cash and receive bitcoins

Option 6. Anonymous online exchanges

Medium anonymity

Not recommended

There are still some online exchanges that do not require ID verification. Do your own research. However, you still need to use your credit card or bank transfer to send money to exchange.

Keep in mind that many cryptocurrency exchanges are fake and won't let you withdraw bitcoins.

Option 7. Peer-to-peer exchange

High anonymity

Recommended for advanced users

You trade crypto directly with another person for cash, bank transfer and more. You meet online or face to face. Choose only verified sellers with good reputation. Before giving cash or sending bank transer, wait for transaction confirmation because unconfirmed transactions can be reversed.
